Alli set for return to the United Kingdom
Dele Alli will return to the United Kingdom this weekend to undergo further assessment on an injury he picked up while playing for Besiktas.
The 26-year-old, who has spent the 2022/23 season on loan at the Turkish giants, has not played since February 26 and was accused of going AWOL last month in an explosive press conference rant by manager Senol Gunes, who claimed Besiktas officials "could not reach" Alli.
However, the player's representatives confirmed to the ECHO that Alli had received permission from the club to fly back to the United Kingdom for a doctor's appointment.
Despite Besiktas being unable to terminate Alli's loan deal in January after struggling to adapt to life in Istanbul, the midfielder will return to the United Kingdom for further analysis of the injury that has kept him sidelined for the past six weeks.

Cannon bags Easter brace
On-loan Everton forward Tom Cannon continued his impressive recent form for Preston North End by firing a brace in their 2-0 win at QPR on Good Friday.
The Republic of Ireland youth International scored two goals in the space of four second half minutes at Loftus Road as QPR's turbulent Championship season continued.
The win lifts Ryan Lowe's side to eighth in the division and just two points outside of the Championship play-off places.
Well in, Tom!

Gyokeres race
Leeds United are now reportedly at the front of the queue for Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres this summer.
That is according to Football Insider, who claim the Whites have 'leapfrogged' ahead of Everton for Gyokeres, with Fulham also interested.
Gyokeres has enjoyed a superb couple of seasons at Coventry, netting 17 goals last term and another 18 this time around.

Ten Hag quotes
He [Dyche] is obviously a manager doing a great job. His team is really fit, their physical output is outstanding, so we have to match that.
"Shaw is unavailable, Eriksen is back in the squad, for the rest we have a squad that is ready to play."

Ancelotti update
Contrary to earlier reports, it appears as though a return to the Premier League for ex-Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti will not be happening.

Lawrenson predicts Manchester United vs Everton
Mark Lawrenson believes Everton will stay in the Premier League this season but is predicting defeat at Manchester United on Saturday.
The Toffees head to Old Trafford in the early Saturday kick-off looking to extend their unbeaten run to six matches in the Premier League.
He wrote in his latest Paddy Power prediction column: “It was another good result for Everton on Monday night against Spurs but I’m going for Manchester United to win this.
“They were good enough against Brentford in the week, even if a 1-0 doesn’t sound that impressive, but generally they were quite comfortable and they’ve got over the Newcastle loss.
“Everton will stay up because they’ve got so much fight about them – just ask Harry Kane! Manchester United 2-0 Everton.”

Chelsea eye ex-Everton boss
Chelsea are reportedly eyeing up a return to Stamford Bridge for former Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti, according to ESPN.
Ancelotti, who is set to face Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the Champions League with Real Madrid next week, is the latest of a long line of managers to have been linked with the vacant role following Graham Potter's sacking.
The 63-year-old could lose his job at Madrid at the end of the seasons if he fails to deliver another European crown, with Los Blancos also 12 points adrift of Barcelona in the race for La Liga.

Toffees eye Arsenal attacker
Everton are reportedly set to battle Aston Villa for the signature of Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson this summer, according to Fichajes.
Nelson has played just 103 minutes of league football this season but has contributed massively to Arsenal's push for the title with three goals and two assists, including an incredible 98th minute winner against Bournemouth recently.
The 23-year-old is in talks over a new deal at the Emirates with his current contract set to expire in the summer, but Everton could be waiting to pounce if the two parties are unable to agree terms.

Moffi addresses speculation
Reported Everton January target Terem Moffi has claimed he was 'never close' to an agreement with Marseille.
Moffi made the switch to Nice on deadline day in the winter transfer window despite interest from the Toffees, as well as French title chasers Marseille.
However, Moffi has insisted he was only ever focused on a switch to Nice. He said: “We have never been close to an agreement with OM. In my mind, I only thought of Nice. So we were never close to an agreement.”

Vazquez race
Everton are reportedly among a host of clubs interested in FC Cincinnati striker Brandon Vazquez.
That is according to 90min.com, who claim fellow Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are also keeping tabs on Vazquez, as well as Scottish outfit Rangers, and Championship promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Norwich City.
Vazquez has caught the attention of clubs across the world after an impressive campaign in MLS last year, netting 18 goals and providing eight assists in 33 appearances.

Onana talks
Arsenal are reportedly in constant contact with the agent of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana ahead of the summer, according to Nieuwsblad.
The Gunners were linked with a January move for the Belgium international but Onana wanted to stay in Merseyside as Everton continue their battle against relegation.
However, Arsenal are set to be back in the market for midfielders again once the window reopens, and Onana could well be back on the radar of Mikel Arteta.

Everton injury latest
Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains unavailable to make his return to first-team action, Sean Dyche indicated today.
The Everton striker has been sidelined since the start of February, having last featured in Dyche’s first game in charge of the club: a 1-0 victory over Premier League leaders Arsenal at Goodison Park.
Suffering from a hamstring injury at present, Calvert-Lewin has completed individual training sessions at Finch Farm but has not yet reached the stage to participate with the full group.
Calling upon the likes of Demarai Gray and Ellis Simms to lead by example within the final third in the absence of Everton’s No.9, this is a theme that is set to continue as Calvert-Lewin unlikely to be in line to take on Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
Issuing an update on his squad at his press conference on Thursday afternoon, Dyche told reporters: "Pretty good. Ruben [Vinagre] missed out with a tight Achilles but he is back on the grass training.
"Dom continues his recovery, Andros [Townsend] a bit more distantly. Some players are just carrying some knocks and bruises but nothing too serious."

Hermansen 'eyed by Everton'
Everton have reportedly emerged as a serious contender to sign Brondby goalkeeper Mads Hermansen this summer.
That's according to Danish outlet Bold, via Sport Witness, who are reporting that both Everton and Burnley are two of the 'hottest suitors' in the race to sign Hermansen.
The report goes on to claim that Clarets manager Vincent Kompany has already been spotted in attendance at one of Hermansen's games.
